Unlike the GCSE Maths which has both Foundation and Higher Tier topics, English GCSE Revision has one set of topics. When completing the Teacher Assessment more rigorous expectations are applied to students wanting to attain a higher tier mark.

Unlike a school setting, at LearningClubs, we personalise instruction teaching those topics which your child needs most to increase their teacher assessment grade. We take time to interview your child and mark the work they have submitted. Finally, the talented tutor will recommend which of the GCSE English Language Revision courses, Foundation or Higher Tier, best suits your child at this time.
Is your child confused which course they are best suited for Foundation or Higher Tier?
Next Step: Once registered, I will take your child through a Guided English Survey. They will complete a short creative story and provide a written response to a text. The talented tutor will mark the submissions and recommend whether your child is best suited for success by attending the Foundation or Higher English Language course.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES:
-
Have a maximum of 6 students
-
Cover topics that are chosen by the student prior to the course commencement. We start with an interview. The student is then asked to write a short story and to analyse a poem. By identifying what the student has already mastered will narrow down the concepts remaining to be learnt. To further enhance the course design the student is invited to present a recent mock exam and teacher recommendations.
