Enrol your child in the Customised Entrance Exam Preparation Course so that they can learn each of the concepts required to pass the exam over 18 weeks. They’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:
 

  • increased ability to complete the test on time or under time

  • reduce the time to recall Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension,  Non-Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Advance Maths and English skills to write the Entrance Exam confidently.

  • increase wellbeing and access to stress management strategies
    And have some fun along the way and confidently write and pass the Entrance Exam.

Assessment*: 2-2.5hrs

  • Assessment, Report and Consultation

Tuition: 90-minute lessons occur over 18 weeks.

  • Monday or Sunday: Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Advance Maths and English

Small group tuition (maximum of 6 students):

Tuition provides intense learning opportunities to stimulate each student's curiosity, motivation and enjoyment. 

Our focus is always on building a student's confidence, developing retention and teaching mindfulness.

The following list of topics may vary according to specific school requirements, including:

​

Verbal Reasoning is the ability to analyse information and solve problems using language-based reasoning.

​

Non-verbal Reasoning enables students to analyse and solve complex problems without relying upon or being limited by language abilities.

​

Spatial Reasoning is a category of reasoning skills. It refers to the capacity to think about objects in three dimensions and draw conclusions about them from limited information.

​

Advanced Mathematics and English lessons cover both Year 5 and part of Year 6. Your child will bring their new skills into their classroom this year.

​

* Assessment:

All students are assessed prior to tuition.  2-to 2.5 hour examination is provided to determine the student's skill strengths and skill weaknesses. The results provide a critical benchmark.

The assessment includes the following elements:

  • Review of the student's past three end-of-school reports

  • Evaluation of the student's Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning Skills, Maths and English (including Reading and Spelling). 

  • Report: Presentation of the results from the assessment

  • Consultation: The examiner and the parent review all aspects of the report and discuss any questions. It is essential that the parent clearly understands all aspects of the report by the end of the consultation|
    Assessment, Review of Past Reports, Report and Consultation  (6-hour process for the examiner)    .
