Easter: Revision GCSE English & Revision GCSE Maths

Online GCSE Revision now offered

Easter revision is a critical date for GCSE students. It is the prime time to receive support, set academic goals, build confidence and resilience in preparation for continuous teacher assessment. Tthere is no higher paper for English literature. As such, all students will sit the same paper and they will be graded based on the results.

At LearningClubs, we focus on personalised instruction for your child - teaching those topics which your child needs most to increase their assessment grade. We take time to interview your child, take them through a Guided Self-Assessment and study their teacher submitted recommendations for study. The time invested before the course begins will prioritise the topics to be mastered. Finally, the talented tutor will recommend which of the courses, Foundation or Higher Tier, best suits your child at this time.

Our Easter revision courses:

  • Have a maximum of 6 students

  • Topics to be mastered are pinpointed prior to the course.

    • We start with an interview - Chat with Carol.

    • The student completes a self-assessment

    • Latest student GCSE maths mock exam is reviewed by the tutor

    • To further enhance the course design, the student is invited to present a recent mock exam and teacher recommendations
By identifying what the student has already mastered will narrow down the concepts remaining to be learnt.  .

  • Conducted online to ensure continuity

  • Involve rapid revision of both core and option topics

  • Focus on mastery of identified concepts, recall and past paper practice

  • Address individual concerns

  • Build topic confidence and self-confidence

  • Mindfulness is practised in our courses.

LearningClubs' focused courses ensure that students return to their schools with greater subject knowledge and self-confidence.

We were beyond over the moon with his Grade 8 in Maths, what a turn around and all thanks to your brilliant company. The devil is always in the detail and the time you spent establishing where his gaps were in his knowledge, ensuring that these were addressed and tested before moving on to a new level really helped and even though he had to go back to basics he was never made to feel anything other than encouraged.

Parent

Encouraged to ask questions, encouraged to work hard, encouraged he could achieve, this combined with great teaching and his hard work all helped him obtain a grade he never ever thought possible (nor did we) he has put to bed his nemesis subject at last.

I have recommended you to so many people already, we will continue to fully endorse all you do.

A thrilled and very proud mum!

I think it’s Sam’s last ever maths with you tomorrow!  We just want to thank you both for the help over the past 2 years! Sam is full of praise and says without question she has helped her more than the teacher at school. I am so glad that we came along to you. Looking back I can remember Sam asking why she has to go to extra maths when none of her friends do!  Seeing her confidence grow has been wonderful and never once has she complained about having to go. We are thrilled with her progress.
