Math GCSE Tutor (Foundation and/or Higher Tier)
Are you passionate about helping students unlock their full potential in mathematics through online tutoring? LearningClubs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math GCSE Tutor to join our team, offering personalised online support to students preparing for their GCSE exams (Foundation and/or Higher Tier).
This role involves delivering engaging one-on-one or small group (max. 6 students) lessons through Zoom or similar platforms, using BitPaper to create an interactive and effective learning environment. Our goal is to guide students confidently through both Foundation and Higher GCSE tiers.
Core Skills

Educational Background:

Math GCSE Tutors should ideally hold a degree in mathematics or a related field.

A teaching qualification (such as a PGCE or QTS) is highly valued.

Experience in teaching mathematics at GCSE level, with a clear understanding of the Foundation and Higher Tier syllabuses.
Specialised Expertise:

Strong knowledge of the GCSE Mathematics curriculum, including key topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics.

Ability to tailor online lessons for students at different levels, ensuring complex concepts are understood and a solid foundation is built for exam success.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment:

Ability to foster a nurturing, supportive, and interactive atmosphere online that boosts students’ confidence and maximises their learning experience.
Communication Skills:

Engage effectively with students and parents via online platforms, providing clear feedback on progress and areas for improvement.

Strong proficiency in English, ensuring high-quality communication during online lessons.
Requirements
Teaching Experience and Passion:

Proven experience teaching GCSE Maths (Foundation and/or Higher Tier) and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed.

A track record of improving student outcomes, whether through online tutoring or in traditional school settings.
Wellness Mindset:

A holistic approach to online tutoring, incorporating student well-being and reducing stress while promoting a positive mindset.
Technology Skills:

Proficiency in using Zoom (or other video communication platforms) and BitPaper (or equivalent online whiteboards) to deliver interactive and engaging online lessons.

Ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues that may arise during online sessions.

Schedule:

Flexible online tutoring schedule, with availability to tutor after school hours/weekends. Hours typically range from 1 to 10 hours per week, depending on your availability and student demand.
