With a background in classroom teaching and a degree in Music and Drama, Karen brings a unique, creative energy to her sessions—making learning both meaningful and fun.
Her approach is ideal for primary-aged children who need personalised support, whether they’re struggling with the basics or simply benefit from a more imaginative, hands-on learning style. By blending creativity with structured support, Karen helps students build solid foundations in phonics, reading, spelling, and maths—while nurturing their self-esteem and love of learning.
Karen is particularly skilled at working with children who may feel unsure of themselves academically. Her calm, encouraging style and ability to connect with each child as an individual have helped many students rediscover their confidence and curiosity.
Outside of tutoring, Karen enjoys crafting, crocheting, reading, and performing in local drama and music projects. She also serves as an Education Officer with the GSPCA, where she shares her passion for animal welfare and community education.
